We have no idea what anyone’s great-grandparents did or didn't do 3000 years before.

You cant be certain of anything beyond a few generations ago. The point is you are a 'jonnie-come-lately' claiming to be of ancient Assyrian ancestry.

I bet your parents and grand-parents were Christians. Now if you want to leave Christianity, go right ahead ... you are certainly free to leave (no one in the east ever forced anyone to be a Christian).

But to claim you are 'reverting to your pre-Christian, Assyrian past' is ludicrous since you can’t be for sure *what* your actual pre-Christian past truly was. You might as well be forthright and simply leave Christianity to explore any number of ancient nature religions because that’s merely what you are really doing.
