Paul, Granted we didn't always live under the Roman Empire but WE were a part of the Roman Church for hundreds of years. This was before we split into the Church of the East. It's that same Roman church that took all of our holidays and renamed and altered them in order for Christianity to spread East. The church which was controlled from Rome was merely seeking to expand its controls beyond the borders of the Roman Empire and beyond. This was what caused the Persians to become suspicious and slaughter our people. Even back then the Persians knew that the religion was being used as a fifth column that could eventually conquer the Perisan Empire not through arms but through conversion. How else can we explain Ishtar Eggs and Tammuz Trees? --------------------- |
