Christianity was a minor sect...an off-shoot of Judaism..indeed to even BE a Christian for the first few decades you HAD to be a Jew first of all. Everything in it...from the Law of Moses to the Messiah and resurection was Jewish lore...not a THING in it had any resonance for Assyrians. When the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD...a time when there WERE no "Christians"...just unorthodox Jews of a minor sect...acting as another rod of yahwe`s I suppose, the Jews were scattered all over that region, taking this fledgling sect with them. They settled in pockets here and there and it it is FAR more likely that THEY formed your first Church of the East and OF COURSE they wanted nothing to do with Rome! What has all this to do with Assyrians? Why on earth would they abandon their highly cultured Heritage for a Jew knock-off...and more importantly, why do YOU keep insisting that`s what we HAD to do? In what that the Christian community built do you see anything Assyrian? Those villages...so similar to the sheepshit hilltops in Israel? Do you see any remnants of Assyrian culture or science or art? At the time Islam came there was no established Christian anything...even then you were all squabbling...JUST like the Hebrews we know so well...who started off killing each other for this yahwe they found under a cowpie. There was NOTHING even remotely "Assyrian" in that church OR those villages you are all so proud of. If Assyria lived on in any meaningful way it was under the new religion of ISLAM...not Christianity. And we have TONS of evidence that they did just that...by the evidence before us of what the desert Arabs were suddenly able to accomplish..that they had shown NO signs of being capable of in their desert tent communities. If you want to propose spaceships and alien invaders as the ones who brought such hitherto unheard of riches and culture to earth...look no further than what the Assyrians brought to Islam..to Arabs from the desert. Compare Mecca and Medina to Baghdad under the Islamic ASSYRIAN Caliphs, or to Damascus or Ctesiphon and you`ll see that Assyrian culture was indeed almost an alien invasion among the desert Arabs...for it transformed them allmost overnight. In the sweep of Islam over the face of Asia, Africa, Europe and the New World you clearly see the ancient Assyrians alive once again and in the saddle and the hospital and museum and workshops and artist`s studios...whereas there is NOTHING even remotely familir as "Assyrian" in this running to China business, or quaking in fear for centuries in remote mud hut villages and acting the part of lowly scribes for others. This is the extent to which the Jews and their Christian knock-offs hated and hate Assyria. They try to force the issue that our weakest and most humiliating moments were JUST when our new "Lord" was smiling down on us...where have you heard that before? What people gave that as an explanation for their miserable showing? It was the HEBREWS who believed it and taught it..and they carried it with them when they became Christian and were sent packing from Israel to go set up this church of the East of yours which has taught its followers to revel in poverty and humility and grovel in the dust seeking a "kingdom" somewhere else...rather than kick ass on their way to a new one on earth...as the Romans did even better when they adopted this religion of horrors. Thank Ashur Muhammad was ever born...his teachings and the inspiration they provided brought the Arabs to BetNahrain to free us from this intellectual stranglehold of a Jew infestation and kept us from being swallowed by the Byzantine Romans..who were murdering Jews and heretics left and right. Under Islam we were spared..we were protected...we were allowed to revel in our culture and history and saw it once again transform desert dwellers and create yet another magnificent empire that gave even MORE to all of Humanity....as happened with Sargon and his desert Semites...as occured with hammurabi and his tent dwellers...as would happen again with Muhammad and HIS semites.
