I believe modern science agrees pedophelia is a mental illness but they have explictly stated that homosexuality is a part of human nature that a certain fraction of humans and a lot of animal species have individuals whose brain structure is such that they are turned on by the same rather than opposite sex. Now whether that is an evolutionary defect or a survival advantage, the jury is still out, deadlocked and hasn't a clue. My guess is that the mechanism that psychologically imprints sexuality into our brains, what visually and psychologically stimilates, motivates, excites us is such a finessed mechanism that certain prenatal conditions during that part of brain embryological development, can be disturbed and imprint the wrong sex on it. Think about it when you see a naked woman or think of penetrating a woman, you get a hard on physically and psychologically... why? yeh, your hormones get triggered by a visual image or a psychological concept, but there are brain mechanisms that are doing that for you for a woman's contour and "equipment", and for us heterosexual women it is from a man's contour and "equipment", and the act itself for both sexes... but you and I can both figure out a mathematical equation, read a book, dissect an argument, paint a picture, play an instrument, learn a foriegn language... our brains are the same that way, but what happened during development that that X and Y gene being the only difference between men and women, that made you a man be turned on by women and me a woman be turned on by men, is still a mystery to science... but they ahve shown that brain structure (which probably develops from genetics in the prenatal environment) of homosexual men are like heterosexual women when brain scans are done based on visual and concept stimulation... I don't know if the study was done with lesbians too... but that tells me that it is nature cause they are not deficient in any other brain functions and can function in society... so they are not retarded or mentally ill, they are just plain different than heterosexuals.. whether God's plan or evolutionary mistake or evolutionary advantage, we may never know.. but live and let live, love and let love... life is too difficult without worrying about other peoples sexual prefernces and activities... and besides, I think both pedophilia and incest are the most disgusting things and true mental illness at its most evil... and your bible is full of both of those since those old guys would mary young girls.. wasn't mary like 12 when she gave birth to jesus, that is a child to me even though biologically she is ready to conceive... and what about adam and eve's kids... exactly who did they mate with... which by the way is impossible since if the human species started with a population of two, mutation and natural selection alone, could not come even remotely close to the genetic diversity we see today... so there are more mysteries and more things we haven't a clue and that is why milenia old ignorant men made up all these holy book stories, but time to give those up and just try to understand our humanity and not shame or condem every perterbation of normalcy that did not agree with a few writers of a book and thsoe that are brainwashed by it today.
