David, it's nice to talk about what "would have" happened and "might have happened" and "just imagine IF" scenarios....but that's totally subjective and that type of "evidence" would never fly in a court of law, anywhere. If you don't have examples of forced conversions, then concede to Dean that the Church of the East never forced anyone into Christianity, even though it stretched from Cyprus to Japan at its height, had 25 Metropolitans and 200 bishops and as some estimates (eg., John Stewart) say 80 million adherents. I think that says a lot that you can not find ONE example from 1,300 years of missionary activity, and EIGHTY MILLION people. Not one? Are you saying we never had an Inquisition, Africa, America, Australia, Jewish Holocaust? Are you saying we never did these things? Are you admitting that Dean is right? -Paul --------------------- |
