someone told me once that there is a passage in the bible that the pharisees accuse Jesus of being a Samaritan. I have looked and have yet to find it... and if that is so, that would mean he was part Assyrian cuase Samaria was the area that during the Assyrians exiled half the population and replaced them with Assyrians... so Samaritans are historically know to be half Assyrian and Half Jewish on the whole. I did find a passage that said that Jesus' human father Jospeh home was on the border of Samaria... since I don't believe in virgin births, I have always wondered if Jesus was half Jewish and half Assyrian and the reason his philosophy was so different from the Jews and so similar to our ancestors, as you note, was maybe he was really educated in both Jewish ways and Assyrian ways cause he was both. But when i mentioned that a year ago at BETH, I got hate messages, damned, email messages saying that was dangerous talk and I should be careful etc... and I only came to these forums to ask cause I just discovered these forums and I have always wondered since my mother and grandmother told me as a kid that their Assyrian priest use to say he was Assyrian and a woman at BETH said all the old people from villages in Turkey say that... so maybe... you maybe being half Jewish and half Assyrian is what made him who he was??? or is that plain crazy to think?
