Sounds like the Assyrian Epic of Erra and Ishum. Is the fetus at least given the opportunity to suck at his mother's breast first?

Ashurbanipal would have loved to have this have been on of the great "Scientific Achievements" of the ancient Assyrians....except that they went after already-born babies sucking on their mother's breasts in Babylon....all in the name of that bloodthirsty little beast Big Bird.

No wonder you approve of the procedure - you're an Assyrian. A REAL one.
