Your argument holds shit. You just can't come to terms with the fact that after 800 YEARS of having the shit kicked out of them by everyone and their brother, they had given up on the "god of war" - Big Bird. There is no use to a "god of war" who loses on the battlefield. What good is he? There was no "ROMAN" or "SOMEBODY" who forced us into Christianity - I know of people who have joined it of their own free will inspite of being thrown out of their communities and inspite of the fact that their parents and families disowned them. The 1st-century Assyrians were no different. They converted willingly to a new, but familiar, religion in which they recognized a fulfillment of many Mesopotamian types and symbols.
