i forgot to make my point to paul. respectfully paul, if you take out all the pagan things listed here as you wish, you are left with no religoin and just the teachings of jesus... so i say go for it cause that is what i follow ;) but the masses need all these other imageries so you will loose your flock to other nonassyrian christian churches... and as i said in a previous post, it sure looks like our ancestors were the only original thinkers, for every mythological, spiritually fullfilling, awe inspiring imagery etc etc. in christianity came from our "pagan" ancestors... and I will be so arrogant to tell you why.. cuase their polyiestic beliefs allowed free creative thinkers to flourish and that is were all these imaginatiave ideas come from... nothing new under the sun since in christianity cause all the free thinkers are stifled by dogma and immobility... and if we don't change to improve we will perish. --------------------- |
