:...my mistake was waiting for the United States Marshalls to come and get him...the ones in the States were on top of it and did their job well...especially as now there are many more regulations and requirements before they can come into Mexico...they told me to wait and wait and wait...the day of the horse attack they were supposed to be at my house to wait for the guy to come down the road...but they didn`t show..that afternoon the attack happened and later that night I got a call from Interpol in Mexico City apologizing and saying they would be out the next week...I told the lady to forget it..that I`d already endangered us by trusting them..that all I wanted was the guy and his friends gone...and I`d take care of it myself...two days later they came in a huge truck...loaded some belongings and threee families ran from that hill...and it was three months before one of them came back..the other American couple left the country and the con and his family are nowhere to be seen...In retrospect sure...I should have moved against them legally much earlier...I trusted the Feds...I have a letter from the officer I worked closely with apologizing for the vulnerable position they put me in and then tied my hands by asking me not to scare the guy away till they could come get him...took care of it myself.
