..plain and simple. Against all international law and in defiance of the United Nations Israel is stealing more land...that's all it is. Tell the boys to go yell at the UN about stolen lands and who they belong to and how new countries are made...if the theft is recognized it is legitimate...no one in Palestine is "giving" land back to its "original" owners...blonde Jews from Brooklyn via Poland are ALSO not indigenous to a land merely because of their religion...yet this theft of land and the displacement of the truly indigenous and in this case LEGAL owners of the land marches on unhindered...where do you think the training ground for the Terrorists that saved Bush's ass and built so many an American Corporation's bottom line come from?

Israel has approved the construction of more than 300 new settler homes in the West Bank, a spokeswoman for the lands authority said on Monday, after Washington signaled it could accept growth in more Jewish enclaves in the occupied territory.

A total of 200 of the housing units would be constructed in Har-Gilo, while a further 101 would be constructed in Haradar, added the spokeswoman of the body which is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

The approval was announced after it emerged that Washington had given its tacit approval for the expansion in existing Jewish settlements to accommodate "natural growth", in an apparent contradiction of the U.S.-backed roadmap peace plan which stipulates a freeze on all settlements activity.

...there is no "contradiction"..there were no "mistakes made in Iraq"...these are deliberate moves that contain as a part of their implementation an entire chapter on "hand wringing and "apologies" and "confusion" and "mistakes were made" and "we tried our best". And I am the one called cynnical?

A report in Monday's Yediot Aharonot daily said that more than 500 new houses would be built in settlements including Haradar and Har-Gilo lying close to Jerusalem and the West Bank town of Bethlehem after adjoining land had been "rezoned".
