...must add a note about the way these people do what it is they do...there are common tricks of the trade they have in common...because they ARE very common.

They always start out with a semblance of civility...as any salesman would. There won't be any of the yelling in your face that "JESUS loves you YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!!" That will come later when you turn out to have been Evil all along.

There are mentions of "reason"...maybe even an example or two so you'll think you're NOT dealing with a Headhunter in drag.

The person will also say things like..."I coudn't agree with you more..there certainly have been some abuses in the Church". This is a fool's game because the Church IS abuse in the Raw...but it appears the guy is willing to be "Reasonable"...that gambit again...and willing to be "introspective".

Somewhere along the first steps..before the guy wants to strangle you and dip your sister in acid..he'll have to praise you for something...anything..even the color of your tie...or your sculpture. This is to make you feel friendlier to the guy and what he's selling..like how could you POSSIBLY refuse to buy Paradide from SUCH a nice man..or woman.

There's more as they get into the meat of the religion..or used car...but at least they've "softened" you up and any telemarketing son of a bitch will tell you whetber it's Jesus or a swamp in Florida, you MUST throw the person off balance...that way, should it become necessary,it's that much easier to throw him or her all the way over and stomp the shit out of them!

For God..of course.
