How can anyone dispute that the Assyrian Heritage survived all those millenia when we see it`s products and offshoots all around us? Even the people survived...hells bells if the Hebrews, who never met a foreign sword they didn`t run onto, survived the epochal drubbings they received at everyone`s hand EXCEPT Muslims...surely Assyrians pulled through.

But that isn`t the Myth...that part is fact. It`s an obscure fact difficult to prove because, unlike the Hebrews, Assyrians threw overboard any semblance of their original religion and god....and in place of those adopted weird religions which don`t really fit.

The Myth is that all Assyrians..or the only legitimate Assyrians, are Christians. That`s the nonsense we`re all bogged down in. Christian villagers make their village rituals into "Assyrin" ones and call it a day. Muslim Assyrians refuse to acknowledge the legitimacy of this and cling to their own fractured sense that they are Arabs from Arabia who built the Islamic Empire on their own from the bits and scraps they brought with them in saddlebags.

Muslims are pissed at Christians and Christians are pissed right back...brothers and sisters caught up on two sides of a religious/civil war...the absolute worst kind of war there can be.

That Christian Assyrians are the only Assyrians allowable today because they happen to set their own criteria for addmission is such a piece of bullshit it figures the boys would build a clubhouse "nation" around it...that they are ANY kind of Assyrians is the toilet in that clubhouse where they dump all over this noble Heritage.

I was out in the desert for five days...it came to me like inspiration came to other bearded fellows out there...only I had a dirt bike on.
