Bush Acknowledges Iraq 'Miscalculation WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites) said for the first time on Thursday he made a "miscalculation of what the conditions would be" after U.S. troops went to Iraq (news - web sites), The New York Times reported. The insurgency, he maintained, was the unintended result of a "swift victory" that led to Iraqi troops disappearing into the cities and mounting a rebellion. ...they said the same in Vietnam...only they never called it a swift victory...and there has been no victory in Iraq and there never will be..that's the whole point to what they're doing in the MidEast... ..the intended result of all this meddling has been to create blind hatred in enough Muslims to justify Halliburton...that's all...and it's everything...everything in our Treasury for the next half century at least. --------------------- |
