About 420 an alarmed Zoroastrian high priest came before Yazdegerd to complain that Christian evangelism was inducing mass apostasy from the state religion. The Christian cause was not helped by some arrogant attacks on fire temples by sincere but fanatical Christians, the most violent of whom were often converts from Zoroastrianism. The Shah could scarcely ignore open desecration of the state temples and the destruction of religious peace in his realm. He empowered the Zoroastrian clergy to persuade apostates from the national religion to renounce their conversion to Christianity and return to the faith of the empire "Not, however, by death, but by fear and a certain amount of beating."
*A History of Christianity in Asia, Samuel Moffett
Volume 1 - Beginnings to 1500
p. 159, Paragraph 2

Later in the reign of Yazdegerd, the Persian bishop, Abdas of Susa destroyed a Zoroastrian temple in the city; the king ordered the bishop to restore the building at his own expense. Abdas refused and the result was the order by the king to destroy all churches.

....I provided 2 sources not from a Persian or Islamic writer as you guys would've claimed that they were biased, BUT from CHRISTIAN writers. I provided two sources from published and respectable books as you guys would've used the Aprim-excuse, that internet site is not right routine.
....Anyone using logic and common sense can deduce that the incident(s) mentioned above bear the clear mark of a religous dispute between the CofE who according to Moffett himself dispruted RELIGOUS PEACE in the Perisan Empire by it is assumed using violence and property destruction to destroy a religous temple of the Zoroastrians.
C'MON Khizma, this is the EXACT thing that plagued your debate with Fred Aprim. These conclusions that you reach are totally unsubstantiated. There are many reasons why someone may have attacked a fire temple, and NOT wanted to "convert" them.
..........Well then please provide a more valid reason using logic and common seses that justifies the disruption of peace AND religous tolerance in the Persian Empire. Please don't mention a triangle. :-)
Do you realize that converting from the state religion (Zoroastrianism) in Persia was a crime punishable by DEATH? Much the same way Islam, today, punishes converts with death.
........No it wasn't. Maybe you guys should get your stories straight with Moffett who claims that Zoroastrians who converted should be persudaded back, "Not, however, by death, but by fear and a certain amount of beating."
I asked for historical accounts of forced conversions.
...........I provided you with ***
You are doing a great job demonstrating that the Magian Persian Government were the true aggressors, while the Christians were lashing back, and in most cases suffered more persecution as a result.
..............You guys seem to have regrouped and spent the weekend in the library. I suggest you read again where Moffett - your co-religionist - clearly states, how it was the CHRISTIANS who were responsible for the disruption of peace AND religous tolerance in the Persian Empire.

........Now if a man is caught raping a woman and his pants is down around his ankles and his on top of her while she's screaming, the LAWYER can not claim you have no proof that his intention was to rape her. Yet the CofE has been caught with its pants down with its own Bishop attacking another religoius temple and disrupting religous peace and stability and you**
......Also regarding the Pax Mongolica and the Mongolian dynsaty was courted if not married to the CofE. During that time period anyone wishing to strike alliances with other foreign powers would marry into their family. It explains why one of Genghis Khan's wives was a Nestorian. (No Peter Betbasoo she was given away in marriage to a non-Christian this is not another one of your girl abduction fairy tales at AINA )
It also explains why the CofE consecrated Mar Yaballaha III - a Mongolian - who ruled the Church of the East from 1281 until his death in 1318.
The CofE was courting the Mongols, one of the bloodiest and most barbaric of world conquerors the world has ever seen with the hope that they would eventually become the state religion of this vast Mongolian Empire.
I have provided evidence from Christian "scholars" along with logical deduction to prove my claims. I'd aooreciate it if you guys provide other reasons why Genghis Khan - a non-Christian - would be married to a Nestorian wife and why Mar Yaballaha III was made Patriarch and co-incidently at the exact same time period that the Mongol empire reached its zenith.
