EDITORIAL: WE ARE VICTIMS OF A CONSPIRACY

(Al-Iraq al-Yoom, 04 Sep 04) - The case with Iraq is that participants in
the last war and the political process moved the battlefield away from their
own countries. Besides, the events that took place were effective in
establishing wrong concepts that target Arabs and Islam. Kidnaps and
beheadings strengthened the idea that the Arab homeland is the region of
terrorism and that all Islamic rules are but allegations. This incorrect
concept was not the result of a vacuum. Perhaps unidentified hidden fingers
played a major role in making us look like vampires to others. Anyone trying
to separate events from each other is either blind or pretending to be
blind. Nobody has the right to despise us because we were victims of a
conspiracy.
