"The Conflict Involving Iraq" The Dr. Irma M. Parhad Summer Studentship was established in 2001 to research and report on problems and prospects for furthering human health and welfare in a significant geographic/conflict area, within a framework of international law. The first Parhad summer students examined the conflict in Sudan, and the students in 2002 examined the conflict in Colombia. The purpose of the studentship is to develop a holistic understanding of the factors contributing to a particular conflict, and the resulting effects on human health and welfare. The Parhad Committee has recruited ten outstanding students for the summer of 2003. The specific focus for this year’s summer studentship is “The Conflict Involving Iraq: Issues and Consequences.” Examples of questions to be addressed include: What are the historic, economic, social and cultural factors that have influenced the conflict? ...Muslims kill peepil. (vwey simple..why big deal?) Who are the actors involved in this conflict (i.e. Iraqi government, United States, United Nations, civilian populations, etc.)? What are their positions and interests? ...to bees good Christains like Christ-a he say...but damn Muslims kill peepil. What has been the effect of war and sanctions on the civilian population of Iraq? ...we lose triangle, that what...let my peepil triangle! What have been the major determinants of Western policy towards Iraq 1990-2003? What does international law say about sanctions and military intervention in Iraq? ...who care..what Jesus say..he say get thee triangle you devil back! What is the role of the media and other cultural institutions with respect to the conflict? ..tell truth about Simel..we do nothing..we never do nothing..give back triangle or else...hehehehe. This research will culminate in a comprehensive resource tool intended to inform a broad audience. The document will be posted on this web site and its findings will be presented at an autumn forum. Keep checking this page for updates on this year's work and the autumn forum! ...you got forum? We got forum too...good ting dat forum business. Give peepils they triangles so Assyria be great again! note: to all those who would console each other and take this opportunity to dump on my family...fuck off! Parhads were known in Iraq and elsewhere, apparently, for a sense humor that couldn`t be matched..and I don`t mean telling jokes...look up "iconoclastic" in any dictionary but Hanna`s, where it means "ice cream cone". That`s what Irma was and she came from good stock in that regard as well. These boys of ours are an embarrassment to this noble heritage and that is their AGENDA! Irma would have been a traitor to them and she was, to THEM, for her intelligence, wit and charm would have ripped their Assyrian Fronts right off their heads. They betray BetNahrain every chance they get....and we betray THEM right back. Who else goes around calling himself "Doctor" for a friggin degree in POLITICAL SCIENCE, or Phrenology..whatever Peter Jassim`s brother picked up...who else brags of inconsequentials while calling people like Irma traitors because she would tell the truth and look to the source...who else but these same boys who seek to rule Assyria? My arse! --------------------- |
