Of course you didn't do it deliberately, it was a simple mistake. But that mistake was born out of ignorance - of our own history.

It doesn't bother me a damn bit when you talk about what Western Christianity did to the Jews, Apache, Australians or Africans...not a bit. I share the same sentiment towards those bastards. How could I not? They did the same shit to us. Your post about it still hangs proudly on my office wall.

You are a reasonable man, as I said before....that post of yours was golden and totally changed my opinion of you in that I was wrong when I thought you were too set in your opinions and too proud to change your mind. You changed it alright, all it took was the right evidence.

Which leads to my next statement: I told you that a woman can LEGALLY get an abortion during ANY stage of her pregnancy for ANY reason. You asked for proof: okay, here it is....let's see if you are as reasonable with this point as you've been on a couple of others:

"no significant legal barriers of any kind whatsoever exist today in the United States for a woman to obtain an abortion for any reason during any stage of her pregnancy." (Committee on the Judiciary, U.S. Senate, on Senate Resolution 3, 98th Congress, 98-149, (7 June 1983), p. 6. )

What do you want me to do, find the paper and fax it to you?

Now, having said that, I will concede that you would be hard pressed to find a doctor to end your 8.5 month pregnancy for absolutely no reason at all. Might never happen. But it would be perfectly legal under today's laws.
