..I love this criticism of Al Sadr...claiming he's real saavy where it comes to using the media...can you imagine that? Sadr and his associates' skillful use of Arab satellite television has propelled the cleric's dour, pudgy image beyond Iraq's borders, a phenomenon that has only enhanced his stature inside the country. ...can only Bush have this "skill"? America loses these wras all the tie because its soldiers are paid a living wage to go kill people..they won't do it for "free"..out of conviction or passion or real desperation...attack a person in their home and they'll use everything they have against you...big surprise. In his public statements, Sadr has made opposition to the American presence tantamount to a patriotic duty. ...well what the hell else is it? We made killing Afghanis and Iraqis, who had nothing to do with 9/11 not just "tantamount" to but THE single indicator of patriotic duty. "Everyone can learn from him on how he has used the media to communicate his message," noted Bruce Hoffman, acting director of the Rand Corp. Center for Middle East Public Policy in Washington. "He came out of nowhere into a vacuum to become the most recognized populist political figure in Iraq." ...and just what did Dubya do? This is supposed to put the cleric down somehow? In some ways, Sadr's ability to extend his appeal beyond the disaffected Shiite poor to the middle class has been a surprise. Believed to be in his late twenties or early thirties, Sadr apparently never finished his seminary studies and speaks in a fiery, unpolished tongue. ...he should have gone to Yale instead..slept in class...been a cheerleader for the football team, graduate and STILL sound like an eighth grader... ..what is so odd about Iraqis defending their country from the worst invasion they ever suffered? because Americans are fooled easily doesn't mean Iraqis have to play stupid right along...America has been dumbing down their schools...not Iraq. ...We think if we act shocked and surprised that other people have cream with their tea soon the world over people will react in horror to the idea...Really!!! --------------------- |
