...one can understand how Islam would se America as some sort of Satanic Haven. Never mind the violence it visists on innocent people round the world..god does that too...but in the case of morals, imagine how it appears to a Muslim who sees prostitution as a gross degradation of women...a cynnical manipulation of poor women who were most often sexually abused and in every way there is as little girls...for whom there are few options...since they're too old to be adopted all over the worls by Paul...being forced to seel their bodies to the same men who do the abusing and exploitation and keep them shackled to a bed of one kind or another.

Prositituion, like the Lottery, "running the numbers" it was called back when it was illegal...was the province of organized crime and free agent Pimps. And then out in Nevada ewnough mobsters bought enoug politicians that now it's a legal industry covered by medical laws and health care rules with beneifts and the rest.

No matter what you think of its legalization...you can understand how this looks to a Muslim. There are Christians who don't like it either...but apparently prosititution is something they haven't found a way around...maybe those multiple wives and concubines a Muslim man can have took care of the problem od excess women and raging testosterone in a way less harmful to society AND to women who are respected as wives and concubines even.

Instead we've gone and made it into just another capitaist enterprise. I'm allin favor of its legalization...but I'd also like to see more care directed at the conditions under which children live...better monitoring of troubled families..much better education and real economic opportunities for women as well as protections...sure...if the welathy are allowed to siphon more and more off to their pockets and call it "an envious lifestyle"..which it is for them..and on the other end, coeporations and their corporate presisdents have found an easy way to take the billions that should be used for US, to make us really a secure and safe nation..to go fight their pals the Terrorists without whom they'd have to sell washing machines to us...we MIGHT be able to reduce the need for women to become prostitutes as well as the social conditions that make it seem an okay kind of job...at least those girls now get paid for getting fucked...which isn't all that much of an improvement.

It must look very weird to a Muslim.
