Assyrians cannot put their faith in constitutional laws. Because laws that have guaranteed Assyrians protection have been repeatedly trampled over whenever it has been expedient.

...Iraqis have never been able to rely on International Law..which has repeatedly been trounced by the British and now Americans whenever it suited their personal needs.

The Assyrians can only feel safe under U.N. protection. We need to have a charter of national rights based on our history, and backed by documented ASSYRIAN NATIOANL SECURITY

...you must be joking. A million Africans died while the United Nations looked the other way..even with an African at the helm...the United Nations can do nothing for Palestinians..it cannot enforce its own laws and mandates against Israel and hasn`t been able to for decades..the United Nations helped broker and legitimize the theft of Palestinian lands so the Jews Europe couldn`t kill in time could be rounded up in a ghetto there. Of all the agencies least able to do anything for anyone, you place your hopes in yet ANOTHER Christian owned institution. If a war breaks out in which you get what you deserve, the United Nations will not interfere until peace is declared..or a cease fire...and all the Muslims have to do to get rid of the UN is shoot a few of its people...or several of you and those blue helmets will disappers as fast as they did in the Balkans where they left several hundred people to be butchered. The UN does not get involved when there is violence on the ground..the UN will do nothing for you people either...you`ll just help seal the fate of the few Christians left in Iraq by calling on that discredited agency...like you did on any Chritian government, to come save your sorry arse.

Introductory Note:

This is a national appeal. It is adapted from a speech that Dr. Ashur Moradkhan gave in the Assyrian Hall on June 19, 2004.

Let us say what we have not said, ask for what we have not asked, do what we have not done, and gain that which is essential for our survival.

Every Assyrian agrees that the crippling problem our nation faces today is disunity.

..no nation on earth has ever had the kind of unity you people call for...unless it was a Dictatorship. You are not a nation to begin with but a smattering of Christian sects scattered far and wide who mean by "unity" MY WAY. You cannot tolerate dissent in your own ranks and are the first to remove paintings and call people Traitors for daring to think and speak and act in ways each sect and it`s ten offshoots DEMANDSES. This is forced CONFORMITY..it is not Unity and its been failing for years for good and solid reasons. Your disharmony is not an aberration..it is not a mistake, or failure..it is the highly successful and predictable outcome of the disunity your Church managed to sow among you as each travelling circus barker tried to lure more people than the next guy into HIS sect. And it started when you parted ways from Ashur "willingly"....if you once lose your soul, don`t bother seeking it again.

Dissention and deep-seated animosity pits Assyrian political organizations one against the other. Polemic disputes and controversies have pulled our religious institutions farther apart. Our social and educational organizations are in shambles. The divisive gap that leads to the dismemberment of this nation is becoming wider and deeper every day.

...you are not a nation. By no stretch of the English Language do you come even close. You are religious sects trying the impossible..to bury the very differences and disunities that brought each of you into being...your very presence on the landscape is a result of the disunity of your Church...of the strife and murder of your own birthing with the Reformation and continuing unabated since then. You ARE disunity...it isn`t a condition visited on otherwise unified people.

At a most critical stage in our history, where there is an opportunity to attain our national rights, we are left without a unified leadership and a national agenda. Dissention and lack of direction have sapped the energy of our people, have driven us to the depth of hopelessness and crippled us from taking action necessary for our very survival.

...you have never taken steps to survive...you still don`t. Whereas you`re free to survive in any way you want in any country of the world almost..you neglect our children and their education and the enhancement of their Heritage in ways that could make them eager and proud to work for it...and all for furthering your Church`s agenda..which is to avenge Christ for his defeat in BetNahrain..no matter how many "martyrs" you make of the children entrusted to your crafty care and wiley ways.

...that you would see an "opportunity" for you in the murder and mayhem your Christian Masters have brought to Iraq tells us all we need to know about the rest of your "incisive" comments...that you think any of this is going to open a bright window of opportunity for you personally and the rest of the shmucks you can fool into working for you...says it all...no WONDER you are at this point today...you literally ASKED for it.

This is a lamentable situation. The Assyrian people cannot tolerate this state of affairs. They are desperate for an alternative, for a viable course of action to procure their national rights, and to bring about social and cultural revival.

...you will never do it there...you are not Assyrians...Iraqis don`t see it the way you do..they know you`re lying..they know whom you work for..they know it`s a cheap Christian ploy to make it appear you have some claims as Assyrians. You have never revived anything or built anything besides churches and they all know that. The state of affairs you have visted on the Iraqi people...with tears of Christian joy, is far worse than anything you ever claimed to have suffered...including the murder of our children...which reached epic proportions under Christian "liberation".

The Assyrians have lost hope in their political and religious institutions. These institutions have been tested and retested. They have failed. The Assyrians no longer expect that these institutions can form a united front. If they do eventually, the Assyrians will support them; but the people can wait no longer.

...this is the same bullshit you all indulge in. These "people" have told you all again and again they trust none of you and want nothing to do with you...yet from Nimrod on up you all come speaking in their name, telling us what "they" are saying..what "They" want. THEY want OUT OF IRAQ! That`s the one message loud and clear you also don`t want to see. While all those you call upon left already...you ALL want the rest to stay put. They see it..they know it and so do the Iraqi Muslims. Every speech, every diclaration, every petition and heartfelt and phony appeal for unity and reminder of "golden opportunities" once AGAIN coming to you Christians through the murder of even more Innocents...bury you better than anyone ever wanted to before..you dig your own graves and make yourselves more despised and fit for the grave and oblivion with every speech you fools utter. Our only hope is to make it plain to younger Assyrians that there is indeed hope...but NEVER in the same old direction your Church has been poining us in ever since you found a way to USE us to save YOU!

In order to pull together, the Assyrian people need to go beyond the present organizational framework and seek a pivotal point, a common denominator that can unify them in purpose and action. Is such a thing possible? Yes, it is.

...sure...you and all the other fifteen thousand "unifying" sons of bitches want us to get behind them...and we do...and we have 15,000 useless organizations who would become more obviously useless if they got together under one useless head instead of littering the landscape under several.

The pivotal principle that creates unity of purpose is the one that is the source of survival for every one in our nation; it is our daily preoccupation; it is rooted in our thoughts, it runs in our blood so to speak, and motivates us into action.

...it does no such thing..your Assyrianism is as skin deep and facile as your Christianity...you are neither. For 100 years in America, the freest land of the free you ever saw since Turkey and the Millet Syatem, you people managed to do NOTHING Assyrian and a few things Christian. It obviously stirs no one`s blood. What moves your blood is the lusting after Muslim Assyrian blood. That is your agenda and mission...couch it as you may. It is in order to destroy and damage Islam all you can that your churches egg you on...and like any true scoundrel you hide this behind calls to Assyrian unity...while you work to get us poicked off piecemeal...for the greater glory of Jesus.

It is called National Security. No Assyrian will disagree with this; therefore the quest for national security is a unifying force. It is the ideological base for finding a common goal. It should be the foremost goal in the Assyrian national agenda, because everything else depends on it. But this is only the ideological foundation for unity.

...it is nothing...a chimera...a mirage...another rallying point in the middle of nowhere. You have no nation...you merely like the sound of it. You want a gaggle of sects to be passed off as a nation...no one but your own fools are fooled by this...you create appeals and programs and set agendas only a horse`s ass of a Christian nit wit from a village somewhere would buy into...and you get exactly what comes to people who build their airy fairy palaces on mud..the collapse of the first floor each and every time. You haven`t a hope in hell of attracting any but the weakest links,,,the dimmest bulbs and if you should manage to squeeze 10,000 of them into one sect, instead of the babbling horde you now have...you`d merely blow your cover forever because then everyone would SEE just who these "Assyrians" of yours are...and we`d all rest easy once and for all knowing you once again blew your own big fat collective head off..instead of picking at it here and there. The BEST thing that could happen is for you to get this fucking unity you yelp for..the absolute BEST thing...for us Assyrians.

We must keep in mind that unity is founded on two principles or pillars. The first and most important is ideological and that is thinking alike, or unity of purpose.

..."unity of purpose" has nothing to do with "thinking alike". You see? You see what I mean? Go make this same speech where your sudience isn`t made of Aprims and Hannas and see the reaction you get. Purpose is far different from Thought. People who are united in PURPOSE..which means their ultimate goal, the tangible thing they want to accomplish..can THINK in all kinds of ways. It was Rabel Shmuels PURPOSE...his ACT not a "thought", to show that art and painting were alive and well in our community. No one expects artists to "think alike"...they expect to see a PURPOSE coming from whatever thoughts they may have. What Rabel got was the PURPOSEFUL action of thugs who insist we all THINK ALIKE..in this case that purple is their color and cannot be used in ways they consider to have a wrong PURPOSE.

...You people underdstand language and communication so poorly you don`t know WHAT you are saying. A nation or group "works" not because they all "think alike"...but because regardless of how they think and often enough BECAUSE they bring different thoughts and possibilities with them, the group is able to strive for and achieve a high purpose. You people think lame and your purposes all spring from a lame place...and you can`t stand to take responsibillity for your own failures but must blame them on Pasha Bob back in 897 AD.

The second is practical and it is working together. If we can build these two pillars, we can achieve unity.

...these are merely new packages for the same old same old...people must now UNTITTY their TITTIES to YOUR titties. We`ve heard it all before. You come crying that we won`t unify and you offer as proof of that, that we don`t unify and you suggest the solution..which is to unify...and then you go all around it some more..and then again..and then once more...chasing your tail like any mutt.

If we look back into the history of our nation, we will recognize the importance of maintaining national peace and security. The ancient Assyrians

...you have nothing in common with those people. Those people did not believe in Jew Messiahs and had no need of one...they believed in an Assyrian god and that belief allowed them to unify under what was THEIRS..what came from the very soul and core of their Being. You merely drag those people up out of their graves when you need to obscure the fact that your Church latched onto them as way to gain some leverage over the religion they lost BetNahrain to.

achieved a high level of civilization as long as they had a state and could preserve peace and security in the nation.

You threw away the central core and essence of an Assyrian identity..which did NOT include a Messiah coming down to fight your battles for you and get himself killed for a passle of skunks who would accept a gift that comes from murder. All the high civilization and security and glory you call upon was not and could not have been achieved under Jesus..under Jesus you got eaxctly what he promised you...neither Jesus nor his nation of Israel had any "national security" during his lifetime or for most of it`s own existence...you believe in a Jew who told you to get killed fast and clean so you could benefit later...so what are you crying about now? Go get your heavenly reward.

With the loss of statehood, what did the Assyrians lose that caused the disintegration of the economic, social and cultural fabric? Undoubtedly, it was lack of power to guarantee a measure of peace and security for the common people.

...Nazi Germany was "powerful"...so was Stalin`s Russia and Bush`s America...yet it is a brute force built on oppression..which is not what the Assyrians achieved but what your Jews and you tell the world we were...that raw power got us culture and high art and humanity and beauty and architecture. We had an Assyrian SOUL..you people have none.

The consequences of this loss are innumerable: millions converted to Islam. Why? For the sake of security. How did Christian Kurds come about? Who are Christian Arabs? It is heart breaking to watch those destitute Assyrians who, not to be killed or massacred, have given up their national identity, and have denied their religion just to survive.

...beofre that heartbreak there was the earlier one of Assyrians having to become Christians in order to save their children...this is the biggest lie of all the ones your church puts out: that Assyrians WILLINGLY and joyously threw away Ashur for a Jew....we know it is a lie on principle and on everything we know of human and cultural behavior and survival modes..we also know what the church did wherever else it "spread" Christianity by spreading legs and planting the "seed of Jesus". For you to still maintain that Assyrians came willingly to the arms of Christ is the biggest slander against our people and masks over the countless crimes your church committed to reign supreme...for a time..till Islam came and ousted Jesus..and THIS is the core of your appeals and cries for unity..you want the impossible, religious unity...when we`ve seen nothing but brother killing brother over religion for centuries.

Not only our national identity has been endangered, we have lost much more: our villages are depopulated, homes destroyed, churches and historical monuments are in ruin. Today the Assyrians cannot invest in their own homeland, because they have no security. The Kurds can, because they have achieved security. What is the Assyrian doing in exile? He/she has chosen to leave property, relatives and neighbors because of lack of security in the homeland. Lack of national security is the key to our downfall.

...it is not. Iraq had a nation with borders and a military and every reason to believe it would not be attacked unilaterally based on trumped up lies...they had every reason to expect the international community as well as the UN you now call on would have helped them maintain their national security. It all failed miserably...as will this call of yours. You are merely one more in a long line of false prophets helping to rally enough fools behind you to get them all in one spot so they can be MAGNIFICENTLY and GLORIOUSLY martyred...for your church to shed tears over and win hearts and minds through. You are as despicable as the rest of your brood.

As you see survival and security is the common goal. All Assyrians are in search of security. Some have asked: What is the definition of “national security”? It is the will for self-preservation. It is the desire not to be gobbled up, chewed up, and stepped over. To demand it, is your right.

...then you would never have sung the praises of Abgar..the putz suprememe who threw Ashur away for some Jew cure.

The quest for national security is the sole common denominator that unites us all. Therefore the quest for security from the United Nations should be the Assyrian National Agenda.

...fisrt ask all those who put their hope in the same UN...then see if you have any reason to whistle in the dark. You`ve merely picked on what you think will be a better trick..like Ken fucking Joseph thought he had a winner with his ice cream parlour all of us were supposed to RUSH to for a unified milkshake..or Jajo with his travel plans and suggestions for demanding what we have coming to us...you came up with this bright turd of a strategy as a way to fandangle enough jackasses into believing the UN would be the one, FINALLY...THE MESSIAH Jews got you looking to for salvation...where the Brits and Americans couldn`t get you killed fast enough, the UN will now do the job.

The Assyrian does not need to stand in opposition to a Kurd, an Arab, or a Turkmen to demand his/her rights to national security.

...you people prayed for..you wished for...you sent your own sons to fight for the destruction of Iraq...YOU helped time and again to threaten the national security of a REAL nation...to destroy mosques and tear apart families in THEIR nation..and now you want security and guarantees for the people of the SAME religion who tried to destroy theirs? You`re a pip...really you are.

It is the responsibility of the United Nations; indeed it is in its charter, to protect the rights of the indigenous people of the world who are without political representation. This is not a novel idea.

...it is the way you interpret it..you think of language as silly putty to be bent into any shape you desire...you are not indigenous..the only proof you have is that you are Christians..and your claim that ONLY Christians can be real Assyrians...The Palestinians have a far better claim to their lands and yet the UN ripped their country apart and has been helpless ever since to enforce the slightest rule against Israel for all its lawlessness and abuses...the Natrive Americans and Native Australians and indigenous people ALL OVER THE WORLD can get nothing...except the right to expect fair treatment if they meet their NEW national obligations..and you people don`t qualify. You have repeatedly called for more Sanctions and begged the attackers and despoilers of Iraq to stay and give the people even MORE.

U.N. has already played an important role in guaranteeing the security of several nations. It has established a peace force in countries such as Bosnia, Afghanistan, and others.

...there is peace in Afghanistan? Is that the kind of peace you want for those poor clucks who might believe you?

Northern Iraq was proclaimed a neutral zone in 1991. Since then, the region has attained a good measure of economic and social prosperity. Likewise, We have every right to demand national security from the United Nations.

...WAR was declared against Iraq in 1991. That "zone" was brought into being through illegal war made against a nation that never harmed the United States...every "benefit" you see from that "zone" also came from the WAR. What the fuck are you saying? That as Christians you are all well schooled in picking up what benefits and "golden opportunities" come your way no matter HOW they get to you? Did you not get the promise of heaven ONLY if an Innocent was murdered and further on your promise to eat his flesh and drink his blood? Is this more of the same, only for real?

In the past various Assyrian political parties have sent envoys to various nations in quest of our national rights. Regrettably, most have returned empty-handed.

They have been advised to unite first and present a national front. Others have been asked why is their agenda for Assyrians only, and not for all Iraqis?

Had they all asked for national security, they would not have heard such comments. The reason is the evidence for the fact that Assyrians are in jeopardy is well founded.

...and Iraqis, who`ve been attacked by the Christian West for 80 years have NO grounds to fear their existence and national security?

The international community is well aware that we are Christians living in the midst of a Muslim majority. The West has experienced the whip of Muslim fanaticism.

...until the West tried to solve its Jewish problem by making it a Muslim`s problem, the West had nothing to fear from Muslims..indeed it has been Muslims who`ve been the target of Christian occupation and theft and murder and hatred. The United States was attacked ONCE and by Saudi Arabians at that..yet they used that as an excuse to attack people totally innocent who had NO PART in that attack. The West has WHIPPED UP Muslim fanaticism and supported it every chance it got..how else could they have buldozed their way over the Un and through or pockets to benefit a wealthy few at the cost of dead Americans as well as murdered and innocent Muslims from Afghnaistan and Iraq? If such a disporoportionate retaliation can be carried out, and with YOUR blessings, while the nation and people who harbored and gave birth to those who attacked the United States are considered sacred by the Bushes and can pass without comment...why can`t Muslims anywhere kill any Christian...who taught them the lesson?

As more hostages are beheaded, the evidence accumulates. That is why request for security draws attention. It is a real concern. That is why this claim will open the doors of the United Nations to us.

...why didn`t death by starvation brought to five and three years olds not move you? What about rape and sodomy or an illegal war against a civillian population whose children were targeted in the open? What are a few beheadings compared to that? What of a half million starved to deatyh Iraqi infants under the age of five...is that not worth mentioning any longer?

...and why do you play the "beheading card" and help the West slander and smear all Muslims for the acts of a few..have not Americans cut off heads?

The reader might do well to think: What are we not asking for when we demand national security? We are in fact asking for all that our political parties have attempted. Security subsumes administrative autonomy, and the formation of an enclave.

...xactly..that`s what all this bullshit is about..you want a Christian enclave you can dress up as "Assyria"..and you ain`t never gonna get it..now more than NEVER!

Economic prosperity, educational attainment, religious freedom, preservation of cultural heritage are all possible if there is national security.

...you`ve had the greatest nation`s security for 100 years to do all those things and have done none of them....and aren`t even interested and your interests in Iraq are all for revenge and the theft of land so your church can have a base to spread its poison from...smooth sailing buster.

Lack of security is the reason why Assyrians do not invest in their homeland. It is also the reason why those who live in misery in Jordan and other countries as exiles, do not seek to return back to their homes and villages. It is the reason why our nation is dispersed all over the world. Otherwise our people are resourceful, capable and hardworking. A few years ago they planted 54,000 apple saplings in the free zone in northern Iraq in the course of two months with next to no manpower. If we are granted protection by the U.N., that will transform us from a minority into a nationality, and guarantee the preservation of our identity as a people, our language and cultural heritage in the plain of Nineveh, our homeland.

...sure thing. The Brits were supposed to do that and no doubt a few low level American diplomats whispered into your fat head that they would SURELY pull through for you..you know how Americans LOVE the indigenous people they stole their own country from...now the next will-o-the-whisp is to be the UN..and I suppose after that crashes and burns you`ll come at us with the only REAL dependable HOPE for Assyrians...YAHWE!

It has been suggested that the new constitutional laws in Iraq guarantee the human rights of all Iraqi minorities. That is not true. According to the new constitution Islam is the national religion of Iraq. The laws of the state cannot oppose the Quranic decrees. Democracy is impossible in an Islamic country because the principle of democracy runs against the Quranic decrees.

...that doesn`t mean you`ll get an ethnically cleansed Christian enclave where you can remove paintings to make sure everyone thinks alike so they can kill each other in unison. Human Rights mean just that...your rights as a HUMAN..not a Christian or Buddhist one. The United States is a Christian country under its own god...and increasingly our own fanatics are trying to make it a Christian Country Inc. Whatever you get in Iraq will be displeasing to you, not because it is authorotarian or un-democractic..you boys are minor tyrants enough wherever you get the slightest chance..what bugs you is that it`s a MUSLIM country AT ALL..and that ANY government, even the most liberal in the world..would still be a Muslim government.

Moreover, the history of Assyrians in Iraq has proven that evidence to give weight to our claim.

...as has your history in Iraq given weight to Iraq`s belief that from your ranks come additional traitors and turncoats and collaborators..so why keep any of you there when you can go be free and total Assyrians 24 hours a day in the West? You all heppen to be here ANYWAY!

The second pillar of unity is working together. We need to establish the organizational basis for action. The first step is to weed out all issues that create divisiveness and animosity among different groups in our nation.

...that means get rid of what you don`t like..which is the same weeding job the rest of you want to do.

For one thing, there is the name issue. It is more than a year that this issue has diverted our attention uselessly. It is not clear how many more years it will take to resolve it. So far, no Assyrian has been able to prove his case to a Chaldean or vice versa.

..neither can you prove that you ARE either.

The name by which we are identified in the new constitution of Iraq is based in the framework of historical facts and international agreements that cannot be side stepped.

...International agreements get broken all the time.

We cannot change that and so our disputes are useless.

...useless disputes are mother`s milk to you people...what changed?

Apart from this, if we are identified by a factional name in the new constitution, what are the other factions losing? The Iraqi constitutional laws are not the definitive element in identifying the composition of our nation. It is our history, culture and our own will and capabilities that identify us as a nation. In other words, the constitution of Iraq cannot create or abolish our national identity. Our motto should be “the gain of one is the gain of all”. If we inculcate this motto among the Assyrian denominational churches, and different Assyrian groups, it will bring us together.

...right. Certainly...if you manage to get them all to think ALIKE...which in this case means LIKE YOU...you`ll get your unity and like I said, it would be the best thing we Assyrians could hope for...that would put an end to you once and for all.

The other point is this: the Assyrians living outside the homeland will be well advised to avoid bidding the Assyrians in the homeland to do thus and so, when they themselves are not fulfilling their own responsibilities. There are enough capable, loyal, and politically astute Assyrians in the homeland. They have lawyers, engineers, politicians, and men and women of learning. They can better than us judge what is the best plan of action for Assyrians in the homeland than we can from far away. Why don’t we let them manage their own affairs? Why do we interfere with them and transplant our disputes and controversies in their midst? We must let them be and show faith in their decisions. They are loudly asking for the Assyrians outside the homeland to unite and support them. Therefore the Assyrian National Security is a program for the Assyrians outside the homeland. Let us tend to it.

...the people inside want OUTSIDE..it is YOUR desire that they stay and do the work of your religion.

The plan of action is to first establish a leadership for the Assyrians outside the homeland. It is the responsibility of the leadership to implement the quest for national security in the homeland.

...give it a rest. All you accomplish is make the people back home even MORE insecure...Iraqis don`t want to hear about Christians OUTSIDE Iraq deciding on what to do INSIDE Iraq..no more than New Yorkers want to hear what Libya thinks American Muslims should do to get their "rights".

The agenda is based on two phases. In phase one leadership will be by appointment and not elective. This route is a shortcut that will allow us to make up for the lost time and speed up our progress.

...this is your Christian notion of democracy? Speed things up?

For this phase we need to find a Gandhi type charismatic leader. This person will command complete obedience. The “Yes Sir” rule will have to be applied temporarily to insure discipline and prevent indecisiveness. The appointed leader must have the following qualifications:

...holy shit! Like I said...let you have your head and it will be the best way to make sure it gets cut off..."speedily".

1. The leader must have been a dentist.

2. An insatiable need for girlie magazines and porn should be at the top of his reading list.

3. Land deals in Lebanaon and some experience in fleecing people is a plus.

4. The Suprteme Leader should be dedicated to his people who must all think alike..this will mean he must have no personal attachments and should have shed his wife along the way because kinky sex was not her thing.

5. Gardenning skills always a benefit.

Please nominate someone with the characteristics mentioned above. Until then, and not to lose time, I will take this position and implement the “Yes Sir” rule, until we reach the second phase at which time a national parliament for the Assyrians in exile will be elected. The parliament then will initiate the process for the elected leadership.
