...well it`s about time! How many times have I told you...just because you speak a dialect of a language spoken by Jews and Egyptians and maintained by your church...doesn`t make you British either.

The same applies on the Syriac-speaking people. Syriac became the lingua franca of the Near East. Many nations spoke it; however, when the dust settled, only the Assyrians, as a collective nation, continued to use it.

...Latin was the lingua franca of its day...of the Roman Empire as well and when the dust settled NO ONE in Italy was speaking Latin..they sopke Italian..the only place where Latin survived was in church services and those speaking it in church were NOT Romans because of it...and speaking it at home wouldn`t have made them citizens of the Roman Empire either...the fact that your village churches continued using the language in their liturgy would not make a Britisher who prayed in it an Assyrian...neither does it make you an Assyrian...and you wouldn`t become a Roman if you spoke Latin either...thank you for clearing that up for us and there`s no need to be shy whenever you pick up a new idea or dust off an old one..it can`t happen that often to you anyway.

You boys have chosen the easiest qualities you could..things taught to you in your cradle, and made those "Assyrian" characteristics...naturally you babble like babes in the language. A Frenchman doesn`t stop being French for forgetting the language...no "nation" will revoke nationality for forgetting to speak the language...you are not a nation..you are not Assyrians when you speak it..and you aren`t Africans when you`re British...you got ME dizzy now.

...never. It was never aimed at Assyrians. It came into being because of and was aimed at the Europeanizing and Colonizing and Imperializing and Americanizing and jingoizing of the Western nations hungry for someone else`s oil first. It was an attempt to forge a common identity...one that might bring those disparate people togather as in England long before the Angles made peace with the Saxons who accepted the Vikings, who learned to tolerate the Hindus and Afghanis...just as in America the Dutch, English, German, Italian, Irish and Apaches learned to bury their differences and find common ground...in order to get the best from everybody and kick the shit out of Balkanized jackasses such as you. It will come back again...it will have to.

...Iraqis are not Arabs..they know that if you don`t. You aren`t Assyrian by any stretch of the imagination..you speak a language in your churches and homes..and less and less all the time, you like to think the ancient Assyrians spoke. Even then it was spoken by lots of people besides Assyrians and had Jesus spoken purely Hebrew...you would be speaking Hebrew in your churches today. It is a recent accident of history that the archaeological digs gave creedence to the existence of the biblical Assyrians..and it came as much of a shock to you as to anyone that those people were real once upon a time. Had it not been for Layard YOU never would have heard of Gilgamesh. Your churches merely used their wiles and lies to convince babes such as yourselves that what you spoke in church was the SAME AS what Ashurbanipal spoke...it is rot through and through and without your help we couldn`t make the case so well.

....Assyrians did indeed survive and are alive and well in BetNahrain today, all things considered...but rhe majority of them turned to Islam which happened to speak Arabic to begin with but today speaks Mongolian, English, Dutch etc....as your own children speak English, German, Dutch, French etc. This silly proooves of yours rests on nothing...absolutely nothing and like I said, without you to help us get it out in the open, away from your hothouses and onto the internet highway...we would take forever making the case clear.

Yes there are Assyrians today and NO they are not YOU!
