...this business about calling everyone a liar...everyone claiming to be telling the truth...someone posting Bill ₧ªReiley as a credible source for facts about Iraq or anyone he doesnªt like...claiming that "my opinion is as valid as yours"...is interesting..makes for funny reading.

Moore cites factual statements in the legitimate press he took his info from...says how lawyer after lawyer tested it all because the parent company didnªt want lawsuits, never mind embarrassment...and if the bashers just thought about it, theyªd see itªs true...that Moore couldnªt afford even the hint that he was fudging the facts...while on the other side we have fact after fact of outright lies...yet both sides claim to be telling the truth...and it IS a kind of truth..the truth of what each side needs to meet itªs agenda...but what are the respective agendas?

We know a lot of money was made..we know these people were all in corporations whoªve done any damn thing they could to make money and most often one step ahead of the law and increasingly in war profits...forget about any conscience of any kind....so letªs admit Bushªs agenda up front..the guy wants to get as rich as he can.

We know from our own labor history what American working men and women were up against 100 years ago...we know Robber Barons and Wall Street financiers and manufacturing moghuls lied, cheated, beat up, robbed and killed their own workers, fellow Americans and Christians all, for the sake of squeezing the most out of them and keeping them from meeting THEIR agenda...which was nothing less than the creation of a Middle Class that made America the wealthy nation it was. All for a few bucks an hour more and some health and welfare and security beenfits..which ALL rebounded to the benefit of their employers anyway.

Now we have these same Barons holding the controls of government directly...no more saintly, white=haired fronts and reps for them...itªs Corporate Headquarters at the White House more and more...and anything and everything they did to us, their own fellow citizens theyªll do a hundred times worse to Iraqis and Vietnamese and anyone else who stands in their way because they choose to barrel through our living rooms and get enraged to find us sitting there.

We know Bushªs agenda well...what is Mooreªs? The charge that he too wants lots of money and thatªs why he decided to go into independent documentaries is absurd. I got the same thing levelled against me when I "made money". What Moore wants and needs and what heªs willing to do to get it is worlds away from what Bush and his pals want and need and what theyªve done to get it..and how much more they want and want and want.

What do the people who are against wars declared against children have as their agenda...hidden or not? Whereªs the money in it? Whereªs the glory? What can you count on except to be brutalized and savaged by the dominant majority? The only thing the Right comes up with, which is similar to what our boys repeat over and over, is that those who disagree with them are "traitors"...or Un=American or Un=Assyrian and now, UN=Godly etc. There isnªt anything else they can possibly say. If we say Sanctions are a cruel and useless way to achieve a policy goal that ISNªT murder of the Innocents..they shoot back that we are traitors to our people because we want Saddam to stay in power.

While our motives have nothing to do with self=service or the pursuit of wealth and power and all of theirªs have JUST that as the main motive..both sides claim to have "agendas" and since both do..then it stands to their kind of reason that weªre as cynnical and out for personal rewards as they clearly are.
