...Chriatian morality goes something like this..especially when touting itself over others Christian: We must strive to be like Jesus...we must do all we can to emulate him and follow his example... Pagan: Go ahead...and would you get off my clothes. Chriatian: When I say we, I mean you too. Pagan: I don't want to be like Jesus...I want to be like Mugwhump...thanks all the same. Christian: If you refuse the love of Jesus it means you're wrong and evil and lost and rotten and you'll go to hell and suffer for eternity. Pagan: Are you threatening me or trying to win me over? And I told you, get OFF my clothes...my worship services are over and I'd like to get dressed now. Chriatian: You are evil for getting naked when you pray out here in mountains. Pagan: I'm getting cold too...will you go somewhere else if I bother you so much. Christian: I can't...jesus wants us to be like him. Pagan: Was he a pain in the ass too? Christian: (kicking the Pagan in the groin) THAT's a SIN! Pagan: OWWW...well your kick didn't feeel so hot either...why don't you go AWAY! Christian: I love your soul and want to save it...your body is in error. It's your error I kick. Pagan: Look..I have no idea what you're talking about...for all I know you just came from one of those planets up there...you make about as much sense to me as if you did...and be a nice fella will you...and go away. Christian: Christ told me to stay here and kick the love of Jesus into you if you resist the love of Jesus. Pagan: Did he tell you to do anything else but annoy people who never harmed you or heard of him...and never had anybody kick them before? Christian: yes..he said we should resist evil and chase the moneylenders from the Temple. Pagan: There's a bank around the corner...why don't you go chase the tellers away. Christian: Can't. I'd get thrown in jail. Pagan: Did your Jesus worry about that? Christian: No he taught us to do the right thing no matter what...but he was a god and so we can't be like him..it would be presumptious. Pagan: Well if you can't be like him and I don't WANT to be like him..how come I'm the only one getting kicked and yelled at around here? Christian: (takes out gun and shoots pagan) Because only I have the real god on my side...and I keep trying. --------------------- |
