Bush may well have been hunkering down with his advisors for the few days it took them to figure out a scenario that would play best at home. Now we have the American military riding in to the rescue, cash flowing...about what they spend in Iraq in a DAY! And it's the same soldiers who can as easily kill a Sri Lankan as pull him out of the water...feed him or ram a rifle up his arse..."just followin' orders Ma'am. Don't blame me for being cynnical...look at my teachers. Of course the people deserve our help...but why? And how does help translate into murderering Iraqis and killing their children in the one case...remember we went there to "help" too...and bringing rice and medicine to other Asians? The very foodstuffs and medicine and clean water being rushed so dramatically to one set of Darkies was denied for 13 years to another set of Darkies. It can't be that we feel for innocent Darkies...there has to be more to it than that. Maybe the Tsunami is a godsend for American military prestige? Sure Bush didn't plan it that way...but the Lord could have...he is, after all, famously mysterious in his deeper workings. --------------------- |
