Civil wars happened in many good countries including the USA. The civil war that is going on now in Iraq will most likely consume more people and that does not make the Iraqis less human than any other nation. ...hold on there. Either you don`t know the meaning of a civil war and how they work..or you too are playing fast and loose. In the aftermath of an unprovoked war against a civilian population by an OUTSIDE force that then becomes the OCCUPIER and destroys all semblance and capacity for maintaining law and order..in which hundreds of "contractors" have been easily found..people who look and talk and act just like the native population and in fact may even BE of the native population..as America found many in Korea and Vietnam and the Nazis found Jews in concentration camps willing to work for them...these are things that defy any definitioon of the things that lead up to a civil war. A civil war is fought within a country by the SAME people split into factions...usually whittled down to two...whenever an outsider provokes such a reaction by joining its forces to a side it PAYS...there is no civil war going on. The American Civil War was provoked by no outsiders..it was a homegrown affair strictly and, if you would try to make sense, you should be a little cleaner in your use of language. Iraq has been cast headlong into anarchy..but not just anarchy...they have the most powerful army in the world with unheard of weapons and technology at their disposal occupying the country...going door to door and killing people they later claim were insurgents..plus which they have agents undercover killing people in any location at any time..even in mosques AND churches...there is absolutely no incentive for the Freedom Fighters to blow up a wedding party or attack a mosque..surely you can see that...what would they gain? If they are indeed outsiders, as you all claim..then more than ever they need the support and help of the native population..it`s the first rule of guerilla warfare, which is what this really is, that you form strong ties with the community..the exception in this case being the message that must be sent to that copmmunity that anyone thinking of joining in the occupation and working for the foreign murderers attacking an innocent civilian population of mothers and their children...will be shot. This is nothing more than ANY government would do under these circumstances. But...aside from that...and the odd chance they have of catching their real enemies out in the open..the Freedom Fighters would never conceive of the assinine and self-defeating tactic of blowing up birthday parties of Muslims..you must be joking..or you`ve been reading there too long. The Americans have an army, with uniforms..they have an Iraqi police force of traitors who, thankfully have uniforms also..and they have a clandestine army with no uniforms...and facing all this military might which has given itself holy dispensation to shoot first and never bothering to ask any questions, "just put them out of their misery"...is a rag tag group of Freedom Fighters in the best tradition of the Jews trapped in the Warsaw ghetto by yet other Christians..who fought one of the most inspired and determined battles against hopeless odds since the Spartans went down to the last man. This is not a Civil War...Iraqis are not fighting Iraqis over any ideology...they are killing those Iraqis who decide to join the occupiers...as there are always plenty who are either made desperate enough or seek to gain an inside track for what they think will be the inevitable victory of the foreigners..there is only one outcome here...the Americans will lose..that is they will pull out just as soon as they can`t borrow any more money to pay themselves with...everyone else knows it if you don`t. And grair`s comment that this will have all been "worth it" is the little sick fuck`s way of saying it will be worth it to HIM...not to the people of Iraq who`ve been turned against each other by Christians..again. --------------------- - BACK TO INDEX - REPLY - QUOTE - EDIT - DELETE -
