It's official, folks. Chaldean Americans Reaching & Encouraging is no longer. :-( ==================================== -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Dissolution Date: Mon, 22 Nov 2004 14:06:11 -0800 (PST) From: Jessica Katty <jessicakatty@yahoo.com> To: Jessica Katty <jkatty@voicesthatcare.com> Dear C.A.R.E. Members: I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of you for the outstanding work and commitment you have demonstrated to the organization over the last seven years. I know that some of you may be disappointed in the attached announcement below. We believe that C.A.R.E. is a strong legacy of commitment to our community. However, our merger with CCCC enables us to more effectively provide services to the community for the future. Again, thank you for your dedication and hard work. The attached announcement provides you the contact information to express your interest in continuing support for the Chaldean community. Bashar Hannosh (Attachment) November 15, 2004 Chaldean Americans Reaching & Encouraging C.A.R.E. Thank you for your continued support and membership to C.A.R.E. During our October 20, 2004 meeting, members of C.A.R.E. voted to merge with the Chaldean Community Cultural Center (CCCC). This vote will lead to the dissolution of C.A.R.E. and all funding will be donated to the CCCC. The CCCC was established to preserve the Chaldean language, culture and history. Rather than competing with the CCCC, we thought it best to work together with the organization to meet the needs of the community. We urge you to take part in the CCCC’s future programming and development and welcome you to contribute to the organization. We are proud of the accomplishments of C.A.R.E. over the last seven years. I think we will all agree that the work of our volunteers has made a significant impact on the people of Michigan. Several thousand people were educated on the Chaldean community. Hundreds of youth participated in our mentoring programs and many needy families benefited from our annual food drives and adopt-a-family programs. We look forward to our new relationship with the CCCC and thank you again for your support. For any additional information, please contact the CCCC at 248-683-6363. Sincerely, CCCC --------------------- |
