Ok, maybe Iranians did, but Iraq was the most progressive state in the middle east (more so than even **cough** Israel) pertaining to women during the 70s...

I know a woman who was the president of an Iraqi corporation who lived and worked in France, and several other women who, when in Iraq, held high positions there in business and in the government.......
