...there's no use putting roofs on their shacks. For years Assyrians have been languishing in camps and huts in other countries...no chance to come to America, like Narsai's parents did...or to Europe, as so many others did..others who now insist that SOMEBODY has to stay behind...even after they've all but insured their lives will be hell...even WITHOUT the added onus of being co-religionists of the Nazis who attacked Iraq illegally.

How come no one botherd about all those other Assyrians all these years? is it really Assyrians the AIDS society cares for or their own guilt and romantic notions about remaining in "Assyria"?..I mean someone ELSE staying there. They are using them as surely as everyone else is...

I wouldn't allow Narsai to auction off my sculpture to "help" keep Assyrians in harm's way..I don't give a shit for symbollic gestures..there are millions of Iraqis of Assyrian descent who happen to NOT be Christian...so Assyrians are alive and well in Iraq..but people are people and the ones most in need of help are the Christians there who have all the problems Muslims have in remaining alive PLUS the hatred and suspicion of their Muslim neighbors so that, once again, the task of survival is that much harder for Christians.

Even so I wouldn't give them a dime to remain...but if anyone wants to help them escape so they can raise their children in peace...like Narsai was raised and like he raised his son...then they can have my sculpture to use for airplane tickets or anything else that will give those PEIOPLE..never mind if they are Assyrian or Mongolian...a chance at a real life.

This is only the beginning of the continued torture and ruination of that land and region...get them OUT and go find another way to promote yourselves!
