...I was confused to hear on the radio today optimistic talk from Bush about how although there were dark times ahead...the media wasn't telling of all the successes...that media!!! Then he cited new business start-ups no one heard of and probably never will and other "hopefull" developments...and then in the next report came news of the brazen execution of three Iraqi election officials in broad daylight with the gunmen not even bothering to wear masks...and this took place on Haifa Street, which we are told no one wants to drive on because the insurgents control it...and somewhere in another story came the news that Haifa Street is RIGHT NEXT TO the Green Zone...the place where, if anyone could feel safe, would be the place... ...we KNEW we were being lied to..and then we FOUND OUT we were lied to...and so now we EXPECT to be lied to...who the hell can stomach any Truth after this steady diet? --------------------- |
