I realize I didn't answer some of your questions... I was raised in the Church of the East and found it to be cynical. It never promoted personal growth and never pushed me to achieve a great purpose in life. I was repetitious and/or monotonous. I felt like a sheep in a heard. Though, I don't have negative experiences in the church, I do notice that other forms of Christianity prove to be more negative than others. I found the concept as a whole to be a tradition that needed to be broken. --Side Thought (somewhat relevant)-- I have come to realize that we are nothing more than Christian Arabs who identify with the name "Assyrian". We are no different or authentic then the "Chaldean" who identifies separately and are focused under Catholicism or the Iraqi's who identify with "Arab" and are focused under Islam.
