What awful fate is in store for them if they go on as they have been? Your comment seems to imply they are hellbent on their own destruction, for which you'll gladly supply the rope. > > >When a person, or a group tries to seperate itself from the WHOLE they not only destroy the whole, but themselves. ..that's a perfect description of what Assyrians, in the West, are trying to do in Iraq...while Chaldeans see themselves as an integral PART of Iraq. ...in another post Dalale very succinctly pointed out the reason Chaldeans are better off going it alone...and let's not forget that everyone else fractures all over the place...she said that it had always been important for Chaldeans to be citizens of Iraq...OUR country, which I would remind you ASSYRIANS are trying to carve out a triangular patch and separate themselves from the country as a whole...both in their pin heads and by remaining aloof. It is as a result of the war, cheered on by them ,that the Kurds have gotten to be so powerful, absent the Iraqi government's decades old efforts to keep them manageable. ...Assyrian extreme foolishness, such as those Levies, jeopardized everyone's position...and though there were PLENTY of Assyrians warning the boys of that day not to listen to British sweet words being whispered up their arses, they went ahead and ruined it for everybody...it's the same today when the boys in the West have been yapping about how terrible those who chose to remain in Iraq were having it...magnifying every single incident of Muslim violence while today they've completely ignored the far more massive Christian-led violence... ..it isn't only Chaldeans who want to separate themselves from being associated with this kind of nonsense, which is more than just boyish mischief but sedition, which wins you NO friends in Iraq...which is where our people are...ACTUALLY dying, not like Babble-On and the grairs who sip coffee and TALK about dying...in Burbank. I too would do anything to separate myself from these jackasses..to let the Iraqis know I am NOT alligned with them in any way. These people are foolish but dangerous as well...they are quick to criticize Kris for showing us clearly what THEY advocate and continue to beg for, even though it's clear it will never happen and has resulted in more violence towrds our people than Iraq was EVER guilty of in the past. ...You could say as easily that it is the foolish behavior of the ASSYRIANS which has separated THEM from the mainstream Chaldeans who've refused to distance themselves from IRAQ! > >You can try all you want to show someone the big picture, but in the end you can't stop them from putting a noose over their neck and jumping out of the whole to make a statement. ...that applies more to our own extreme nutjobs...there is no reason in the world for Chaldeans to separate themselves from Assyrians...but there is EVERY good reason to refuse to be associated with these demands for a separate triangle plus all the born-again hysteria-fed lies aimed at making the world loathe the Iraqi people. Chaldeans were more outspoken about the harm being done to Iraq, to ALL the people of Iraq than the boys were...to our Assyrians it seemed like the GREATEST thing in the world that America was going to war against the civilians of Iraq. ..how many of our young people refuse to associate with us because of the stupid ways we behave? Why in the world would Andre Aghassi NOT want to men tion..not even mention, the group his own father belongs to? Why does he emphasize only his Armenian side? Is it just something in him...or is it the two very different responses his father received when he tried to get support for his son's early career and training? > >"...just what IS their crime?" > > >Pray tell what is the difference between some Assyrians thinking they are "Nestorians" and others thinking they are "Chaldeans"? ...on one level, none. But that wasn't Dalale's earlier point...as far as I'm concerned ALL Christians are welcome only marginally...until we see where their real interests lie...if they call Aramaic the language of Ashur OR the language of Jesus, for instance. ...Chaldeans have always been able to function IN Iraqi society...they figured out what it takes to get along and succeed...just the same as you all want your children to do in America where Americanization is MORE caustic than Iraqization...to do so they saw Iraqi Muslims as human beans, dealt with them, learned from them, shared with them, befriended them and generally mixed in as citizens..they did NOT pull the plug on music because it was in Arabic...it is Christian Assyrians who have REMOVED themselves from Iraqi society..who refuse to see that big picture you mention...being so blind even as to trust the same treacherous Westerners who screwed them AGAIN...as they have done repeatedly to so many people... ...If you can succeed in showing THEM the big picture...then I don't think any Chaldean will have a problem associating as an Assyrian as well....of COURSE they know they are a part of BetNahrain, but BetNahrain was never ALL Assyria and ONLY Assyria. Chaldeans just want no part of what passes today for extreme Assyrianism...and neither do I. > >They are both criminals for wanting to divide our wholeness into seperate and distinct slices. They are nothing but thieves robbing a treasure that was intended to benefit all of it's inheriters, and diviying up the loot. ...if you look at the behavior of the Assyrian extreme faction, you'll see that this a more accurate description of their own behavior...what should Native Americans do when a faction of them insist Florida be turned over to them and encourage other countries to attack America...to kill American babies, in order to get them "their own lands back"? Should they support and identify with them even though they don't believe in it and want only to live in peace in America? ...Can Chaldeans dissuade these Assyrian fools...can they make THEM see the big picture? can they persuade THEM that Iraq is Uruk and the only country we're left with...can they persuade THEM to join Iraqi society as they have? Do Assyrians have ANY organization that has the word "Iraq" in it...as the Chaldeans do? --------------------- |
