..people keep confusing her association to Harvard...she doesn't teach there...I tjhink she's involved with some special something or other affiliated with the school. I didn't kn ow she was at Santa Cruz.

I've met her a couple of times...once we had a discussion about what was being done to the people of Iraq...how it was the "good people" again who allowed these crimes..that if they withheld their support neither Hitler nor Bush could get away with it...she chided me slightly for making such a comparison...but when I persisted she became decidedly uncomfortable and found little to say. But still...she is definitely a cut above what we usually produce. No firebrand is going to emerge from our community...not for a long time to come.

Jeeezuz...SHE wrote the forward to that "book"? How could she? I know what it is...the same thing we always do to enshrine mediocrity among us..."Kheena, koomit eeli, Aturaya eeli...mooptawi"!!!
