...I don't think we want to admit that outright brutality is the new world order. Even the Nazis had enough sense to be discreet...but that's a drag and gets in the way...better to get people cheering for out and out murder...that's what it is. This isn't "war". War was when the armies met in a field and had it out...before that it was a seige of one army against a walled city/state. No more. Now a war is an attack on a country...the opposing army must be weak by definiton..and the type of weapons we have preclude big armies going against big armies...besides everyone is now comfortable with killing children...why wait? If the United States and Germany declared war...where would their armies meet? And why would they? They would instead bomb from the skies killing civilians first and foremost...then whichever one wins that war will occupy the country and kill all opposition...same thing that would happen in America if someone beat our armies in a field somewhere. So, don't be surprised any longer....stop expecting ahyone to care...we got over that long ago. The killing just shifts...this isn't a war...it's murder...it's an attack on a family in their home...you go from room to room killing off the family members....and rules don't count...that's the nature of urban warfare..in the field with unifornmed soldiers facing each other you have no excuse to kill 14 year old children...who wouldn't be there anyway...or women and grandmothers..but in a city...you can kill them all because none of them are obviously "enemy" soldiers...but by the very nature of the struggle they HAVE to look like anybody else..they must blend in and appear to be the opposite to what they are..it's their only chance..but that's okay too cause then you can kill them ALL.... It isn't war..it's murder and it's okay...really, it is! Get used to it. --------------------- |
