I don't know much about Jannissaries actually. I bring it up because this topic is swept under the rug. Janissaries were Christians employed by the Ottoman empire, and they slaughtered many people...this much, I do know. But who were these Christians? Why is it Turks and Kurds are always blamed but a blind eye is turned to these Janissaries? If Turks "made" the Janissaries do it, then they made the Kurds do it as well (to our people). These Janissaries could very well have consisted of some AssyroChaldeans...but, Armenians, Greeks and our people today will continue to point all the fingers towards Islam..the Turks and the Kurds. ...........I did always think that there was something w r o n g in, and about those hunger strikes in Europe. What kind of a man would think that this, this the a way to build a "country"? --------------------- |
