"P.S. That bit about Europeans taking their children around the world for vacation was an interesting piece of information. Sounds like a very reasonable thing to do." It really is, Jeff. I have yet to meet a stupid European teenager. I have travelled the world and I have met them everywhere. They usually speak several languages, can name the capital of every country, the president of every country, are well-informed and know exactly what's going on in world politics. I never meet American teenagers who are like that. You ask an American teenager who is the president of France they look at you like you are nuts for expecting them to know that. The only thing they know is how many husbands has Madonna or Britney Spears had. It's really sad. As a youth, I used to travel a lot and I was on a budget, so I would stay in youth hostiles to save money on hotels. They were all filled with European children back-packing from country to country. That's why they are so brilliant and unfraid, and secure about who and what they are. --------------------- |
