>...they are ALL the same message! And while we're at it...get that logo off of there....it has caused countless suffering and murder...I have toons I could dump all over your site...how many times are you going to repeat THAT? Fine, it's gone. >..that is my PRIVILEGE...it makes no practical difference whatsoever to anyone... Yes it does. It makes a practical difference to ME. I already told you, you can disregard my request if you'd like, but the only thing I asked of you was to keep the place organized. Long before you came along, or I came here, I had gone through a lot of effort to go through our old forum and pick posts that contained similiar themes and group them together as one so that people doing research could easily go to the specialized sub-section and either contribute or make use of the work already there. By posting unrelated topics in those forums, you are in essence undoing all of my hard work to separate them. Nevertheless, if you feel strongly enough about it, I already told you, go ahead and trash my efforts at organization. I just kindly ask that you not do so. >...if you prefer I'll add or subtract ONE sentence from each one...then we can debate HOW different they are and whether they are different ENOUGH....ask Keith, he knows. It is foolishness...all of it. Yes it is, all of it. >...I had the same message for ALL the people hiding in your different rooms...your design of the place doesn't determnine where I post...we could make a hole for you as well over here...but that wouldn't be what you'd want. No, it wouldn't. But you have to understand the purpose of my forum design was specific and has nothing to do with what's happening between you and I. >...no they don't...you can tell by the number of vists... Of course they do - don't you see it? What do you think, only you can see it? The number of visits depends on the number of people who wish to actually read your post. That the number is low isn't my fault. >...and if that IS the case what the hell difference does it make? I already told you, I went through a lot of work to organize it the way we have it. If you want proof, follow the "archived forum" link on the "Links" folder, and you will see that I too, at one point, had a single forum just like you do here. But for the sake of organizing the research, I decided to break the forum up into different categories and the posts in those categories reflect a different aspect of our research. >...we can delete this one easily...it's no loss to anyone and merely repeats what you've been doing all along...take your video strip tease for instance...what gives you the right to do as you please over here and limit is in ANY way? I'm not limiting you. I'll create 100 different sub-sections if you want. I merely would *like* for the specialized sub-sections to remain free of unrelated topics. If you choose to ignore my request, I already said fine. Go ahead. I would only like to request that you not do so. In your shop, I'm sure you have things organized in such a manner as to make your work organized and easier. That's all I've tried to do. The sub-sections were in there years ago, long before I came here. That I created yet another one, an open one, is not because I want to throw you in some sort of basement. I even put the thing on the top. And it's not just for you, it's for everyone of the nearly 300 registered members of the forum to utilize. >What practical difference does it make if I post the same message in 15 different places? If a forum is titled "Aramaic poetry" it helps to keep only topics about poetry in the Aramaic New Testament there. >Does it stop anyone? No. >Does it crowd them out? No. >can they NOT post? No. >Answer and don't just ignore. It goes against what I was trying so hard for so many years, to catalogue relevant post together in a coherent manner. But go ahead, muck it up. I don't want you to have yet another thing to hold over my head. -Paul --------------------- |
