...true..and the great "El Cid" was nothing more than a mercenary who fought against Chritians as well as Muslims or anyone else he was paid to fight...yet these simple truths are regularly covered over in order to make Christians feel goodaboutthemslves.

...it`s also regularly pointed out that in Africa and in the Muslim world, slavery was an established institution long before the Europeans came to it in the 1700s...it`s true slavery was a fact of life...but it was seen as a temporary thing usually resulting from the fortunes of war, with today`s slave becomming tomorrow`s master as likely as not...but NEVER was slavery made into the permanent, forever state of gentic inferiority as it was by the Europeans who turned people into animals in order to justify their cruelty..it was NOT merely tough luck that you became a slave and might work or buy your way out...it was your DESTINY..it was what you were MEANT to be and was something you could NEVER escape...and neither could your children nor any descendant who had so much as one sixteenth part "Black" blood in him or her...that is a far cry from the slavery practised in the ancient world...where, thankfully, there were NO Christians.
