...if you want to discuss with me you must define your terms first. That would certainly spare us a lot of wasted words..let`s figure out what we mean by words before throwing them around and at each other.

I`ve asked every Christian I know what the central core of Christianity is, the one or two things that are completely UNIQUE to it and it alone...things no other religion espouses..things that make you KNOW you are dealing with a Christian and not a Muslim..or a Jew or Pagan.

And, oddly enough, not a one of them can do it...so far. Paul Younan diddled for weeks before finally feeling ashamed enough to venture something..he said Christianity is all about self-sacrifice. Which is pure bunk...if anything it`s about the sacrifice of OTHERS...starting with Jesus and never pausing to look back.

Besides which the idea of risking yourself, your life, your fortune, your health for the sake of someone else or for the common good was hardly invented by Jesus or Christians...countless zillions of parents the world over give of themselves all that is needed...the Spartans gave to the last man..and on and on.

It can`t be the ten commandments because those are older than Christianity..name ONE culture that encourages its citizens to steal or murder...for hevvin`s sake!

Paul got cold feet and stalled so long he finally went away because he didn`t dare tell the truth...because it`s an ugly truth.

But I won`t flog that right now...I challenge ANYONE to tell us the ONE THING that Christianity added to the beliefs and behavior and morals of the Human Race...not something it shares with every other religion..or with any religion. Let`s see what is at its core...so we know what we mean when use the word....the very fact that no one seems willing or able to do it would imply they either don`t know themselves..or are too ashamed to admit it.

What is Christian belief and ONLY Christian belief?
