..it's funny that the boys and girls of AUA should demand a secular state in Iraq...when have they ever known secular rule among themselves? Who BUT the church has ruled them? Even their basis for their empty claim of being Assyrian rests on...guess what? Religion. This could be the reason they are such barbarians when it comes to real secular issues, such as happen here in the States..or even on these forums...the reason they are such absolutists and believe ANY criticism of a governor or president or ploicy is akin to a "sin"...that there must be absolut rule by the powers that be and total compliance...because all they've ever known is divine law...never any secular pluralism of udeas in which people put aside their religious differences to deal with practical matters relating to a State . This demand that Iraq be secular is only so they can start their same old tricks as before...so that the new State will leave their churches alone..not interfere with them when they go back to their old mealy mouthed lies to prove they are the ONLY Assyrians because they are Christians...when their entire claim to this identity rests solely on their religious claims...as their denial of the same identity rests as well on a religious claim...that NO Muslim can be an "Assyrian...then you know these are intolerant religious barbarians who, if they had the chance, would impose CHRISTIAN Sharia law on everyone. Forget your Christian pubic patch...it will never happen. As my Scilian pal in New York used to say..."go scratch". --------------------- |
