...the reason the boys function as they do is because they never used their minds as the things are meant to be used. They were raised without questions or knowing how to deal with the unknown...they were raised with ANSWERS and they can only repeat and repeat forever what they "learned".

It would be like studying math by being given formulas, explanations and then problems AND the answers to those problems. You`d get it all "right"...but what use would that be to your mind?

The boys are like wind-up toys, tightly wound and even overwrought, set down on rocky and uneven terrian who barrel ahead at top speed with no regard to direction or obstacles...with the same verve and gusto they`ll roll over open ground..or into a looming brick wall...or over a cliff. Makes no difference to them...they see no variations, no nuances, no subtle changes in what lies ahead...their mental wheels are turning, repeating the command to their leg wheels..."turn and keep turning". They bounce off obstacles and get turned to left and right or all the way around without letting up for a minute to see if they`re now travelling backwards over the way they came...doesn`t matter the direction or the goal or the obstacles or even if they GET anywhere..all they know is that they must keep ROLLING...their springs and screws are tightly wound and they can`t help themsleves or choose a path....they aren`t so much pulled forward as they are pushed from behind.

That`s the reason they can`t talk...can`t write..because both require some thought...they can only repeat, over and over again what was poured into their ears...and just as they were treated when boys at a priest`s knee, they too will use humiliation against anyone who doesn`t agree with them...even calling your mothers whores..as I`m sure priests hinted that any recalcitrant or questioning boy must come from "bad" families. Their tactics are childish because THEY are still children when it comes to using their minds as more than trash receptacles.

The boys are like one who was never taught or allowed to learn to swim..because it would be dangerous and they might drown...but thrown into the ocean as they all were anyway...they cling to a plank or pillow...or better yet hug the pillars of a dock somewhere mortally afraid to let go..unable to even imagine being able to float or read water or, god forbid, SWIM. Which was probably the whole point to their "loving" upbringing..because they would remain close to homebase always...never mind that their teachers basically betrayed and used them, by deliberately crippling them or at the least not giving them what is needed to swim about freely and confidently in life.

And, just as naturally, the boys hate and resent people who come splashing by...doing the freestyle...or backstroke..or butterfly...the especially hate those who climb to great heights and dance around up there, sure that if they fall, they can manage a double tuck with no trouble and land perfectly calm and safe...splashing the boys some more, there, clinging for dear life to their one or two moth-eaten flotation ideas. That`s also the reason the boys are most heroic in their bathtubs where they can knock rubber duckies over with ease.

They can really only discuss with each other where there is almost complete agreement AND everyone remains "polite", as if they were still in church, where everyone thought and spoke and acted alike. Out in the world, where there is controversy, where there are fights and arguments and hot words and conflicting ideas get hurled by with dizzying speed, the boys are lost and must retreat to their church or rooms, where the world can be according to their book...or Hanna`s dictionary.

Take their history. The Church never appealed to people much...wherever they went. Not in Iraq, Syria, China or Japan. And this hurts them no end. Instead they created the fantasy that at one time there were millions and millions of Christians crawling all over the MidEast...but the Muslims came and KILLED THEM ALL...and the ones they didn`t kill were forced to CONVERT ( when the truth is that only the Christians killed people for not converting as only they forcibly converted people). But if the nasty Muslims killed 80 million Christians..why did they stop? Why didn`t they kill 80,000,003 and be DONE with them!

Why were those villages allowed to escape the "murderous wrath" of the Muslims? How difficult could it have been to move on, past Simele and wipe out all the rest of them? If they hated them enough to kill millions...why did they stop at all? Hitler only had a few years but Islam has had 1300 years to get rid of every last Christian...how come they haven`t? It can`t be because European Christians would protest..fer god`s sake THEY were murdering Christians left and right!!! Their own neighbors and family members too!

If those famous Muslims killed seven sons for being Christian...why didn`t they kill all the OTHER sons and daughters and parents? How come anyone was left alive? Does this sound like a "massacre" to you? The truth is that Christians do LOTS of things deserving of death...look at them in Iraq today...or in Palestine where they use Isarelis to do their dirty work..the work they PAY them to do...or else.

If you would know something...you must QUESTION it. But the boys swallowed everthing put into their minds...all they do now is spit it back up..like any child who`s stuffed near to gagging. They CAN`T think any longer..if they ever could. To them, being a "good" student or person is never deviating from what your teacher told you...and their teachers were all priests or in church basements. They allowed no questions then..no deviation from scripture and biblical "truth"..and the boys can`t change now...or if they do..if they open up ever so little and question and seek they are treated as apostates and traitors!!! The good news is that we`ll soon be rid of them for the conditions under which such boys were reared no longer exist and will never come back...despite the irony that Narsai David, of ALL people, is busily trying to "rebuild" those friggin villages...go figure.

But it won`t work. Those days are over. And there`s just a chance, no matter how much the boys are determined to destroy everything if they can`t get their way (do boys ever change?)...we just might be able to bring back all those really bright Assyrians who ran screaming in the night.

For, surely, the boys are sterile at their other end as well.
