...there are, on average, 150 people reading here every day. That`s 150 people who know you...who recognize you...who`ve gotten used to you..no matter how many times you go away, how long you stay or with what outlandish names you come back.

I don`t mean of course that we know your actual identity but then neither do you, obviously...and besides, it doesn`t really matter which "you" you are. You people are units. You think alike..you all talk the same way..you`re all dismally educated and overly proud of your two bits of church knowledge...but all the same..we KNOW you...and we have never failed to welcome you.

We also know, before you do, how your`re going to proceed..we know the arc or trajectory your ego is going to take as it crash lands somewhere out there. We`ve seen it often enough before.

You will be nice and pleasant and full of mild mannered love..at the start. You all do this to present to us your favorite facade that you are decent and harmless people... as a way of sort of saying, How can you be unkind to someone so full of it"?

We can wait. Next will come a slight increase in volume...you won`t be quite so careful and cuss words will begin to litter your speech..you`ll make sly and nasty asides..your level of sarcasm will increase too..or as near as you can come to it.

In all that time I and maybe some others will be pecking away at the cement block you depend on for your thoughts..or rather the tape recorder set on automatic replay and kicked up your arse as a kid.

You`ll become huffier and puffier...you`ll next begin to consign us all to hell and damnation...sometime before that you will have suggested we ask forgiveness and accept the love of Jesus..which you feel perfectly free in handing out and representing on earth...and finally...when all you can do will still not make us stupid...you will insist we were all damned to begin with..curse yourself, mildly, for ever having "wasted your time"...reiterate that this place is filled with hate...and leave.

Not that we want you to...we enjoy people of your stripe when they swim by...but it`s just the way you people crumble.
