..."closure" and "I just want to get on with my life"...comes "Bias"...the new definition of the new buzzword.


Did you know that NPR is "biased"? That they blast the hand that feeds them...and gives them their license?

That's the latest bugaboo...when what they really mean is that any other point of view, but the neo-con, is not to be addmitted...THEY are the standard we are to measure "un-biased" by.

Having and expressing your own point of view isn't having a bias...that's what we fought for...the right of each individual to be master of their own minds...to sample from all points of view, or as few as they cared to..and form what they considered their own ideas.

That's known as freedom of conscience and freedom of thought and speech too.

You show bias when you promote something for ulterior motives...or unfairly...such as pushing through your agenda even though it means theft and untold suffering...Halliburton has a bias towards seeing terrorists everywhere...not because they fear terror but because they make a fortune from saying they see it everywhere.

It's that same effort to subtley change the meaning of words that Orwell said would be the distingushing mark of a Tyranny...where the very concept of "tyranny" will be dressed up as "freedom".

The only people you could accuse of having a deep seated bias are the Christians in power who insisted on getting those oil fields and the wealth of Iraq NOT because they deserved them or were entitled to them but just because they wanted them...because it's getting increasingly harder to be a legitimate Robber Baron but you must become a murderer these days as well if you want that kind of instant wealth...this isn't capitalism it's out and out thuggery...and it needs the church to sanctify it.

They first changed Media laws in this country to be able to do just that...buy all outlets in order to make their bias towards theft and murder the new "center". Bias isn't having a contrary view or even having overwhelming methods of spreading your views..it's creating the conditions where you can play with a stacked deck and accuse anyone who calls you on it of being "biased".
