In some state or other five hunters were shot dead by another hunter over a disputed hideout from which they all wanted to shoot animals dead...better they than the animals. Every year overeager hunters drunk on bullets and beer shoot someone of their tribe by accident...lots of farm machinery also gets blasted away on the theory that it's better to shoot something than not. This is the first time hunters deliberately opened fire on each other..must have been too tempting to pass up. After all it can be construed as "evil" to deprive another hunter of his chosen spot...these days anyone standing in your way must be Evil incarnate. Properly speaking this isn't a tragedy since the victims were all looking to kill as well. But it's interesting to note, alongside those terrible fist-fights and brawls that are so shocking the media can't shock us enough with them. Is there a slight tweaking going on of American "values"? Or are these those famous "isolated incidents" you hear tell so much about? Is America going to become even more violent? Didn't it just? --------------------- |
