...ever wonder why we have no legitimate scholars...I mean REAL ones? Why there are so few, to no, Assyrians with advanced degrees in the humanities...in philosphy or history...literature etc? That if there are, they want nothing to do with this nationalism nonsense? Ever wonder why we have so many engineers and accountants and now computer creeps...and why so many medical doctors but no fine arts ones?

...and why the college graduates from Iraq and Syria who are Christian are NEVER in the Humanities, but rather the same old engineers and technicians?

Ever wonder why Saddam targeted the village churches in poor villages where the only "school" for the Christian boys was in the dank basement of a one-horse church? Ever wonder why, if and when those boys graduated elementary school in their village church and perhaps went on to higher education...they'd have to move away from the village to the city...where they would be outnumbered by Muslims...and if they wanted any advanced degree...even a four year basic one, would be faced with the unpleasant prospect of mixing with Muslims and having Muslim teachers...

...well...NOW do you see why we've produced nothing but medical technicians or techinal technicians all these years...or, if we have produced more...not a ONE of them considers him or herself one of THESE kinds of "Assyrians" you hear so much yammering from in the West.

...No college anywhere in the MidEast, or anywhere else, is going to teach an extention of the same nonsense the village priest does...and no student who graduates from that sort of village "school" is going to feel anything but contempt for higher education in these related fields of the Humanities, because his early training has taught him it is all "Arabization" of history...especially of HIS history.

To remain faithful to his early years spent on his knees in the dark, literally...that young boy or girl is FORCED into retirement from the world stage, will never even TRY to get up there in the first place...forced to remain backwards and far from the centers of advanced learning and degrees and the chance to join any faculty anywhere...except for people like Dr Donny George who apparently went all the way and became a "traitor" to the rest of you...because he refused to insist on the "truth"...as you all understood it back in your village and since. What you learned at the age of three and five...at the hand of an illiterate, unworldly and superstitious priest will be all you'll EVER learn...because to seek out more would be TREASON to Jesus!!!

In the West we have people like Eden Naby, Aryan Eshaya or John Joseph...the latter doesn't "count" because he is a "traitor" to you...because he doesn't stroke your childish fantasies...and the other two have no recognized expertise in Assyriology, ancient or modern...one studied Armenians and the other is an anthropologist...what they "know" about their modern history came from those same village priests...in fact there IS no degree offered anywhere in modern Assyrians studies...and for good reason...because there is NOTHING known that doesn't come from SOMEBODY's village somewhere...it is not a recognized discipline...which suits our floppy engineers just fine because then everything and anything they write that pleases them and you...is FACT.

..It won't wash. You can print up all your narrow prejudices and syriac manuscripts...collect thousands of observations made by Rissian tourists of 100 years ago...slap them between the covers of a "book" in the vain hope that anyone else will be fooled into "referencing" your "facts".

..it's a house of cards...that's why no serious insitution of learning will touch it.
