Common sense prevails in Georgia. Christ people will claim this is discrimination against their idiocies and hooliganism...that the courts and therefore the Constitution are against Christian faith...they do this cute dance to obscure the fact that our LAWS tell us this is how we decided to live..,.god his place...but NOT in everyone`s face...whereas, within the limits also clearly spelled out by that same Constitution, the Law can get in our face...if we don`t obey it. The judge merely did what the Constitution demands and we agreed to...

Ga. Evolution Stickers Ordered Removed

ATLANTA - A federal judge on Thursday ordered the removal of stickers placed in high school biology textbooks that call evolution "a theory, not a fact," saying they were an unconstitutional endorsement of religion.

The disclaimers were put in the books by school officials in suburban Cobb County in 2002.

"Adopted by the school board, funded by the money of taxpayers, and inserted by school personnel, the sticker conveys an impermissible message of endorsement and tells some citizens that they are political outsiders while telling others they are political insiders," U.S. District Judge Clarence Cooper said in his 44-page ruling.

Six parents of students and the American Civil Liberties Union (news - web sites) had challenged the stickers in court, arguing they violated the constitutional separation of church and state.

...God people will claim their religious freedoms are being denied...well who the hell EVER said they were free to peddle their wares wherever they pleased? It is our government`s job to rule us, not the Church`s...we don`t yet have Sharia Law...government rule is not the same as rule by religion for we have LOTS of religious folk and no religious folk who have all agreed how to run a country under Civil Law...and not any one of them has a ¨right¨to shove their beliefs at the rest of us. Evolution is not a religion..no matter what Christians say...and neither is science a religion and neither is culture a religion...religion is religion and it is a backward force in modern society.

It may have been progressive 1000 years ago...no more.
