...how did it ever come to this? How did Assyrians come to be represented by the biggest fools around? Why does it seem you have to be stupid as hell to be patriotically and nationalistically Assyrian? Why does no one with a shred of credibility or knowledge make these absurd claims? Why do we settle for "hot blood" to lead us when cool heads run the other way?

Can it be that to even believe we are pure Assyrians requires such weak mental capacity that these boys are all we can expect to make these claims seriously?

What "ethnic" group...or company for that matter can get anywhere with its dimmest lights making the greatest noise? How can a taxi driver such as Aprim take on someone like John Joseph or Eden Naby and feel perfectly justified while finding a hundred more fools to applaud him?

Are we unconsciously addmitting our total collapse by refuinsg to denounce these arrant nimwits because we're afraid they're the "best" we can hope for?

How can these jackasses put forward claims and demands for their indigenous bullshit without one of them ever bothering to show one instance when such a thing has been granted? Can it be that the boys get enough satisfaction and reassurance from hearing themselves talk and making petitions and complaining and demanding? Is that all they want? Do any of them seriously think they can get anything out of a pissed as hell Iraq?

Can failure be such an ingrained part of their psyche that the only way they can stave off complete humiliation is to be seen to be striving for something "Grat"? Something they know damn well will never be theirs but with which they can console themselves by saying, "but we TRIED!"? Tried what? To push water uphill? There's nothing wrong with taking on a long-shot...but in such a case especially you have to bring superb coordination and expertise and ability to bear...these same boys who will tell you they failed at something REALLY big can't organize a picnic either...they can't handle a debate among themselves, never mind across international borders.

How did we EVER become used to being spoken for by such a bunch of weirdos...escaped inmates from a home for seriously dysfunctional teens?
