...that's all this Iraq business is...Americans did the same thing in Vietnam...there was no strategic anything...just gang warfare....we were reduced to counting their dead while comparing the number to our dead...and that was it.

You don't win these kinds of wars..they aren't even ears...the only resemblance to a war is that people are getting killed...nothing is gained...nothing for the nation that is...a few privateers and industrialists and financiers are doing just great.

But for the rest of us it's just murder...of our own and of Iraqis...it lasts until we can't stand to pay the price any longer...then we declare a peace "process" and pull out...a few generations down the road and we forget...think we won the last one and the one before and the call to patriotism and god does it's dirty magic all over again.
