...I don't think we can come into our own until we shift our focus back to BetNahrain and the rich, complex and sublime cultures we came from. For too long we've tried to have it both ways...tried desperately to make a universal message out of Jesus while at the same time relegating our own culture to the savage backwater the Hebrews made of it...and I don't consider the few sops thrown our way in their bible to be worth a damn.

At the same time we've paid only lip-service to our roots...come on admit it...we do NOTHING that is Assyrian...it's all Christian, which is another way of saying Jew...which is fne for Jews,,,they've done marvellous things under the inspiration of their yahwe, with all his blood and guts. Their religion of human sacrifice, infanticide, blood rites and the Messiah were NOT Assyrian...and to claim that Jesus brought love and forgiveness into the world is to cast such an insult at our ancestors that you might as well go all the way and just BE Jewish...which is what these boys are...for all their talk, talk and more talk about being Assyrian..they are consumed by Jesus with not a damn thing left over...and it makes of them a pile of rags absolutely useless for anything EXCEPT seeking to kill as many of our people as possible..just because they refused Jesus...it's Jesus, Jesus, Jesus all the time with them...and the problem with that is that to make these outlandish claims about the wonderful uniqueness of Jesus automatically reduces the Assyrian Heritage...ask one of them what they would think of someone who now dumps Jesus...and you'll know what to think of anyone who dumped Ashur.
