...assuming they are thinking at all?

...someone said he doesn`t like something or other in the Iraqi constitution..the one being drawn up by Americans, in violation of their own Constitution...but never mind..let`s not pop too many bubbles at once or the boys will drown.

...Someone else comes on to say not to worry...all things can be worked out to every minority`s satisfaction...like they have been in America...!

"In the fullness of time and under a democratic Iraqi society, the constitution will be challenged and gradually mature with time."

Fil

...that`s interesting considering the full scale assault on our own Constitution right here in America...and the boys think that majority rule..in a country as torn by strife and seehting with anger and old grudges as Iraq is today will "mature" in time?

Seems to me that`s what Iraq was doing before it was brought to its knees..so was Iran. Coming out of a repressive background these two fledgling modern nations were working out their bugs in their own way...keeping in mind they had no Age of Reason or an Enlightenment or Renaissance or any Parliamentary tradition as America drew on from Europe. They were doing it in THEIR way...which every sovereign nation has a right to do...and they were doing very well considering..which is XACTLY what the West feared.

Now they can start from even lower than they were before.

And this is a sign of "hope" for the boys. You could sort of forgive their monumental stupidity if conditions had improved ever so slightly even for a moment for the Christians...but from the first bomb dropped by Christians, Christians started dying right along with everyone else...except when the bombs stop..they are still there to absorb the fury and wrath that will only grow as time "fully ripens".

..I think we can skipo right over "ripe" and go to "rot".
